Why is Callahan’s so successful? Since its establishment in 1950 as a fast-food restaurant, Callahan’s has stood second to none in strict quality control. Our specially made hot dogs contain nothing but the highest quality meat.We insist on this uncompromising quality control for all of the products we sell. This has been our guiding principle since 1950, when the head of the family, Artie Castrianni, first established the business. Artie worked day and night and built the business from its infancy. When most were waking up in the morning, he was just getting to bed. It was his and his wife Ida's tremendous dedication to the business and their family that has made Callahan’s the institution that it is today. We will forever love him and never forget him.

In addition to the demand for exceptional food and service, Callahan’s has undergone a series of renovations. These modernizations began in 1973 when we became a corporation. They continued in 1978 when the restaurant was extensively refurbished, and were finalized in 1999 with another updated renovation and enlargement of the dining area. At this time the interior was given a congenial and inviting tiffany décor, with new modern seats and benches, a bright ceramic tile floor and orange and teal colored neon lights framing the ceiling. The attractive teal neon signs in the front windows spell out some of the items on our menu and create a friendly approach to the restaurant. This transformation from a quaint hot dog stand in the fifties and sixties to a beautiful and comfortable modern fast food restaurant of the new millennium is dramatic. So if you have not visited us in a while, come by soon. You will not be surprised by the food, it is still great! You will be surprised by our appearance.
